Captain Fred E Bird has fished off Montauk for over 50 years.
Since switching over to all day porgy fishing the day after labor day, every day we have sailed has produced porgies 2 to 3 pounds, seabass 3 to 4 pounds, along with a nice mix of trigger fish, blue fish and striped bass.
